I would say that depends on the vehicle, but mostly, I agree. In my case, I use an oil extractor and pull the oil up from the dipstick. Same for ATF changes.

Honda recommends this as well.

My current favorites came from a commercial fishing supply store. They have been amazing, and cost a fraction of Lacrosse (which I have had in the past with similar results to you).

I did something very similar to my GEN1 Honda Pilot: - Philips H11 VisionPlus for low beams - SIRIUS LEDs for reverse lights - FAHREN 9005 LEDs for high beams This way I dont blind people when I'm driving along at night with my low beams, but the LED high beams are just amazing.
