I asked the person at oreilly today and he said the filter is made by purolator and the oil is from coastal oil company. I have never heard of coastal myself.
Does anybody know who makes Oreilly Auto parts oil and filters? They have a special going for 5 quarts of oil and their microguard filter and I just wanted to know who makes it. Thanks.
How's That Made on Discovery Channel just showed how oil filters are made and the company just happened to be Fram. Of course it showed the infamous cardboard endcaps. It was actually pretty interesting though. Pretty much all automated.
I am using a Pure One on my civic right now and have no problems with it...although I am going to my advanced auto parts filters on my next change since I have a big stock of them now.
When I got my AA oil filter everything matched up with a Purolator filter except the rough coating. The stickers on them were even the same size and shape, just different writing and color of course. So, I would pretty much bet on Purolator.
I always leave my modem on and it is hooked through my router. I just have to power cycle a couple times a year when my connection slows down for some reason.
