Brake shudder, pad transfer and runout

One thing I did recently was switch to ceramic lubricant on the clips and ears of the pads, as well as the piston and back of the pads. I then used regular Silglyde on the pins and boots and it made a big difference in performance. I switched to Bosch QuietCast ceramic pads and did the break in...

    Brake pad differences

Yeah I would go with the Gold pads too. the Silvers tend to squeal and give off a lot of dust. And they don't come in Ceramic, but "Organic" they call it. Plus the Gold pads are direct OE replacement specs as far as chamfers and pad material is concerned.

    Wagner ThermoQuiet Or QuickStop?

ThermoQuiet. The Quick Stops are Wagners cheap line of brake pads. The TQs last quite while and have very little brake dust. Two other reccomendations are Akebono pads or Autopart International's Posi-Met Pads which are awesome.

    Wheel Cylinder Body Rotted Out?

Yeah wheel cylinders take a beating. A little trick not to break the lines comin out. Spray them with some PB first and let them soak a minute and then put a wrench on the flare nut to hold it and turn the wheel cylinder itself, not the wrench and it will save you from kinking an old line.

Ford five-hundred tranny going bad, no money

They are known for going bad sorry to say. And if its the AWD model, good luck finding somebody to do the job other than Ford. Most techs won't touch them. I know Advance Auto Parts can get a trans for that vehicle, price - maybe around 4500$. I'd trade it in ASAP.

    I Used Mobil 1 0w-30 in VQ35DE and....

Call it coincidence, but started hearing a ticking rattle "shoelaces in the dryer" type noise from the right front of my motor, which is actually the front of the motor transversely thinking. Anyway, I figured it Was low on oil like any other weekly consumption period - so I added an additional...

Nextgen is the best conventional oil?

I disagree with that. Working at AAP, Ive sold maybe a handful of quarts. People don't want used oil in their engines, especially when it's more money than conventional. And double-refined just means its cleaned of impurities and loaded up with more anti-wear additives. But what about the actual...
