I got a 2013 Polaris 500 sportsman. I change the fluids every spring regardless of miles, I dont use it a whole lot mostly plowing snow in the winter. In the motor I use the cheapest 5w40 I can find at the time, usually Motomaster 5w40 diesel oil. Transmission gets 5w20 VWB as its what I always have on hand, and the front diff gets Motorcraft mercon lv, again because its what I have around. So far 2000km of trouble free use. Weird how it hasnt blown up without those pricey polaris oils, especially the 2w50 motor oil. For grease I use regular ol red tack grease on the u-joint and bushings.

Running Amsoil 0W40 power sports oil in our polaris quads.

Also use their ATV transmission and front diff oil.

Have over 5000 miles on the one and its still running strong and uses no oil.
