I just don't know if then it might be reasonable to split Mech/Maintenance into like
Powertrain
Electrical
Steering & Suspension
Body & Chassis


That sound like a great idea IMHO, throw transmission and brakes in there and it covers the whole vehicle.

I figured powertrain covered engine, trans and differential

Brakes could be under Steering and Suspension.
Steering, Suspension, & Brakes.

My 5 year battery in my S10 is up now. Hoping this winter doesn't make it bite the dust. Will be looking for another 5 year battery. Glad to know they are talked about on here. Hate the 1 to 2 year and done stuff at Wally World/AutoZone/Oreilly's.
