Can you buy a generic sensor from ebay and assume it will fit a typical setup?
longer version below:
I installed an aftermarket backup sensor (single sensor) in my wife's RAV4 when it was new. It was a major chore to wire it it from the back. After 10+ years it's kaput. initially it failed to work when heat soaked in sun and now it permanently faulty (it detects something all the time). I would prefer not to rewire and just to replace the sensor.
I tried to read on that and it sounds like there are analog and digital sensors, but this got over my head very quickly.
any ideas?
