European and especially German auto workers have more at stake. Their unions by law in Germany have a voting seat on the corporate boards and most time are financially invested within the company they work for. Here in the USA, it is "us vs. them" mentality relationship when it comes to unions. In the EU, it more of a partnership between labor and corporate management.

I disagree. He dropped that on soft babbit bearings. I have metalized many babbit bearings and the bearing material is easily scratched or dented.


I thought modern engines have Alusil bearings, and they were less affected by handling the crankshaft that way.
