My friend has a 2008 Nissan Frontier and the TPMS light is on.
There are no low tires and he's heard that the TPMS sending units in each wheel last longer than the 8-9 years of age his vehicle is.
He also heard some "advice" that there is a white wire (accessible in the center stack) which needs to be cut and rigged to be shorted to ground occasionally.
This was said to reset the TPMS warning light.
Does anybody have any experience or facts on this?
Going by what he's heard: I'd cut into the "white wire" and connect it to one side of a switch and route the other side of the switch to a ground.
ERGO: When the switch was closed it would go to ground and when the switch was open the circuit would be normal.
Any poop on TPMS circuitry out there? Kira
