BTW, I believe that it is up to the manufacturer to have the Mountain Snowflake symbol. A lot of other tires may pass the requirements, but they choose to leave it off (possibly to avoid killing the snow tire market). I also understand that the requirements are quite outdated, which is why many new all season tires could also pass.

I assume in your area in Canada, though, that you're required to have a tire with the mountain snowflake on it during the winter months, so I understand your search and your needs for a tire that actually has the mountain snowflake.

The Silent Armor does not do so well in the snow from what I have seen.

The ABSOLUTE best tire I have run in the snow was a Nokian Vatiiva - which isn't even a snow rated tire! The Rotiiva replaced it. If I planned to drive my Jeep year round and wasn't going off road with it, I'd get a set of Rotiivas on it.

I'm running KOs on my Wrangler(the KO2 was not available when I needed new rubber). It is an outstanding winter tire; I was able to drive through over 15" of fresh snow in 2WD.

The Pathfinder Sport S A/T description mentions having a "Winter Snowflake symbol." I have no experience with the tire, but I found it listed so wanted to share it with you.

Also the AT51 for a more truck type tire

I can only compare them to tires I have had previously but they were way better than the Big O AT's I took off of the truck. Also performed better than BFG AT's in snow but they were on different trucks. Best tire vehicle combo I have had was old design Courser LT's on a Ford Ranger. They didn't clean well in mud but were great in snow.
