i htink you can tell, by looking at the holes in the top of the oil fitler, near the ABDV.i do know, though, as celco fitlers, at autoazone, are made in USA, at advanced auto, their ALL made in mexico.
 
As it was explained by FilterGuy, Champion filters have a letter code stamped into the base plate so it can be identified during manufacturing. Apparently non-Ecore filters are also supposed to have one inlet hole larger than the others, but I have found this not to be consistant. I work in parts at a Chev-Buick dealer and I find that more than half our filters, and especially the fast movers, are Champs. PF47 and PF52 are stamped TT, PF46 and PF61 are G.
I just wonder if all their problems at Delphi account for the large number of Champion sourced parts.
