I just bought a bottle of F-bomb after a years use of Schaeffer's diesel treat 2000 winterized (had a gallon) after I was told that F-bomb was made with todays drier fuels in mind as Schaeffer's was not. I've looking at the MSDS for both of the products and while I know more chemicals doesn't mean its better just seems like that might be a few more lubricating items or cleaners (in Schaeffer's) but I'm not a oil engineer type so I don't know. Also F-bomb only has you use 1oz to 32gal as the 2000 was like 5oz or something to that extent. Anyways can anyone tell me anything about F-bomb or should I switch back to Schaeffers 2000.

Thanks

Schaeffers ENTIRE diesel treat 2000 lineup is designed for todays "drier" ULSD diesel fuels

u want to trust a brand named fbomb? really? ;-)

Schaefer's not designed for today's? who told you this?
Reason I am asking is cuz it should be criminal to spread [censored] like this.
All I will say, look at the parent company for each product and then ask yourself which one think you think has a track record and is used by major chains etc.

for me, Schaefer's all the way. I use their soyshield.

The F-Bob has a very simple package...a bit of cetane improver and I think a demulsifier (makes water fall out of solution). Schaeffer's has the cetane improver, subsituted benzenes for cleaning injectors, an additive for protecting against gelling. I'd pick the Schaeffer's any day over the F-Bomb.

SO what I've gathered give away the F-bomb and keep the Schaffers, I wonder if it will be ok to add Schaeffers to the f-bomb mix.

I'd say who told me that F-bomb is better but I'm not going to dime them out....

I'd say stick with the trusted brands... Schaeffers would qualify as one in my book... F-Bomb (is that really their name?) would not. Others that would qualify would be Power Service, Stanadyne, Opti-Lube, Amsoil, and the OEM prescribed variations (which are often made by one of the above).

Good luck!

You can only get so much of any one ingredient into a fluid ounce. For more ingredients you'll need to use more treatment. Some brands dilute the treatment; other brands supply you with more good stuff. No point spending money on the winter product in warm weather, though--use a product without the anti-gel.

Go ahead and use up the F-bomb, then switch to a better product next.
