Well you can look at their MSDS sheets. They say synthetic base oils and additives (US and German). The MSDS for Germany mentions POLYOLEFIN POLYAMINE SUCCINIMID in 1-5% concentrations but I'm not sure if that's an PAO additive or PAO base. Germany used to have a regulation regarding the naming oils as synthetic (Gr IV/V only) but I don't know if that's still the case.
The MSDS can be useful sometimes. For example I've seen revisions of the MSDS for Total Ineo MC3 5w-30. Over the years the base went from GR III to PAO and back to GR III (most recent). However Base Stocks aren't supposed to matter right??!
