Zaino Z3 necessary?

Hi,

Three cars Im looking to do Zaino on - a 1982 MB 300CD with lapis blue metallic paint (clearcoated), a 1981 MB 240D with tan single-stage paint (not clearcoated), and a 2004 Saab 9-3, with silver paint.

Im going to run Z2 on the saab, and Z5 on the 82, because it is clearcoated and has a few minor scratches and some very fine swirls.

Question is, am I best off using Z3 for the 240D, or should I just run Z2? The paint on the 82 240D is like new and has no swirls, scratches, etc.

Id use ZFX on all of them.

Right now the 82 uses blackfire ivory caranuba and is garage kept.

I think you can pass on the Z3.

One of the disadvantages of Z3 is it's polymer composition is not as advanced as Z2Pro or Z5Pro (assuming those are what you have). I do not forsee Zaino creating a Z3Pro; not enough sales to justify product improvements.

You will be fine with either Z2 or Z5 on the Benz. Both will work just fine.

Zaino claims the Z3 is the same chemistry... but I do have the Z2 and Z5 pro...
