Youtube Oil Experts

I want to see YT start adding a watermark to videos that have independent verification of content accuracy. BITOG could make money by having esteemed moderators screen the oil & oil filter videos to confirm the content, and then the video could show a BITOG logo for audience comfort. Sort of like UL or CSA for electrical devices, but for internet content.

I am absolutely not giving any credence whatsoever to whatever YT thinks is "verified accurate content."

So with the exception of Lake Speed, Jr., Project Farm, and probably a few others I can't name off the top of my head, is anyone else sick to death of these A.I. generated oil comparison videos? Especially those with exceptionally lousy word pronunciation ?

I'm sorry, but hearing lousy fake speech, such as "Five Doubleyou Three Zero" to descibe 5W30 leads me to the "X" at the top right of the screen.

Thus endeth my rant.

I'm sick of it, but I can't help myself. My family is planning an intervention.

Youtube has allowed this to happen. Now anyone can use AI to create a video on any subject and post to the internet. Throw up enough junk videos and you start making revenue. Maybe I should give it a shot since I'm semi retired. ;-)

YouTube has ruined everything. Don't get me started.

YES. 1 MILLION PERCENT. YouTube prefers money and does not care if people believe the videos and ruin their engines. Same reason I no longer use X because 70% of the people on there are BOT's, Engagement Farming idiots, porn or AI.

You mean you don't like those Blue Chew commercials either? 🤣

I have a strict no AI garbage policy. If a thumbnail looks like it has that AI look to it I click don't recommend. And if I was subscribed to it before well too bad unsubscribed. And no I don't watch any of those AI oil comparison videos. They are pretty easy to detect and figure out to not watch from the get go. If I hear any AI sounding voice i exit out and press do not recommend. If they can't put their voice on it you know it's trash from India or Africa.

I hope the AI is the death of YouTube. They demonetized some great firearm content due to their personal dislikes and nobody has been able to rival them so most people stay on that platform.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why this guy is not wildly popular with oil and automotive enthusiasts.

He's a knowledgeable person who explains things well. However, I think he comes off as a shill to some people. I've read a few comments on Facebook of people being distrustful of his oil information because it comes off as an on-going Mobil 1 ad campaign. I can see their point. There are some things that he tends to gloss over and toes the line a bit with Mobil's marketing. Lake's done that at times as well though, so have others.
