Youtube Oil Experts

So with the exception of Lake Speed, Jr., Project Farm, and probably a few others I can't name off the top of my head, is anyone else sick to death of these A.I. generated oil comparison videos? Especially those with exceptionally lousy word pronunciation ?

I'm sorry, but hearing lousy fake speech, such as "Five Doubleyou Three Zero" to descibe 5W30 leads me to the "X" at the top right of the screen.

Thus endeth my rant.

Youtube has allowed this to happen. Now anyone can use AI to create a video on any subject and post to the internet. Throw up enough junk videos and you start making revenue. Maybe I should give it a shot since I'm semi retired. ;-)

Project Farm is a good guy, I enjoy a lot of his content but he is not an "Oil Expert"

But AI will be the death of good content.

It's not just oil videos which AI is overrunning ... It's about every topic you can think of. I would estimate that 50% (or more) of YT is now AI junk.
It's ruined a good thing. YT was a place I could go to find good content for specific tasks. Now, every search turns up more and more crap.

Yep, AI generated websites is another, just slop and manure, like building a barn out of dog crap, loose hay and rubber cement.

Literally the only time I go on it now is to post music videos in the "what are you listening to?" thread and to find insane videos like "Amazing Horse" and "Schfifty five".

FYI, if you click thumbs down on a video, it's still considered audience engagement. Better to just leave.

You can weed out the useful from the garbage before clicking the go button. I watched how to remove the panoramic roof motor for a W211 Mercedes. There were three that showed somebody doing it. Don't click on stupid stuff like "which is best, let's find out" or "brand x vs brand y", "is brand so and so realy any good", "which is the best xxxx". Don't click on anything with a guy making some stupid face. if you can't tell by the title and the picture, you probably aren't smart enough to understand it anyway.

Never underestimate the power of a PhD SME to fail to apply reason beyond their area of expertise.

There IS some good information about various things including motor oils and lubrication, BUT you must be careful of the say C%#@P out there, just a thought, if anyone on this board (bitog) as a true expert (there are some here) , ,really would decide to have a useful video ,instead of certain ones complaining about anything and the usual brand loyalty & useless comments ,,,,,,,, ,,we are all ears if it would happen.
