While researching auto Detail Supply Companies I found these two websites...
#1 Chemical Guys
#2 Detail King

Both companies look to have interesting products.

Chemical Guys has Waxes - Sealants , Glazes , Polishes , Dressings

Detail King has Polishes - Glazes - Waxes - Sealants , Exterior Soaps - Chemicals - Cleaners , Dressings

Both companies are set up to supply professional shops and DIY's.

I will be in a position soon to have to fully detail 1-4 autos a month, and buying bulk may seem the way to go.

Your thoughts and opinions please.

Regarding detail king. They have ozone generators! Those things will get out any odors. They are simply amazing. I have been looking for a 12v plug in one forever and I see they have one. I am going to research it a bit and almost certainly buy that 12v one. Thanks for posting these links.

You should also check AutoGeek. Use keyword Autopia for 10% off at checkout.

Detailing 1-4 cars a month doesn't quite require bulk products. I'd experiment with smaller sizes until you find the right product combination that works for you.

I waxed our Suburban, Acura TL, TSX, and RSX. With 2 coats of wax on the suburban and TL. All from one bottle of Megs NXT 2.0 and still have some left. You really dont need a bulk.

I'd agree with this thought. Have a close look at the economics first, then decide if you need bulk products.

Having said that, there are some products that are worth buying in large qty's. All purpose cleaners (APC), engine cleaner/degreasers, wheel and tire cleaners, tire dressings, and definitely shampoos are all high-use products where you can save some $$ buying in gallon sizes.

All of the above mentioned suppliers are highly regarded. However, consider shipping costs of large qty's. What you save in $$ per ounce you might lose in $$ per pound shipped. Again, run the numbers and see if they work for you.

One thought is to find a local distributor and buy direct. I buy a lot of stuff from Auto Magic's distributor in Atlanta; I pay tax but no shipping costs. Find a local distributor on Auto Magic's website here: http://www.automagic.biz/default.htm
I think you will find AM product quality equal to Meguiars and Chemical Guys.

I really like Autogeek. They've got practically everything you'd need to bring paint back from the dead (although I will admit to finding a better price on a brand new PC 7424 on Ebay). They even have videos showing you exactly what to do and which products to use to obtain desired results. I followed the video steps this past weekend to remove some light scratches from my car and it looks fantastic. Polish - Glaze - Wax - done. Love the 7424, and Pinnacle products.
