Thankfully both drivers unharmed.
Wife was driving down residential street and was approx 75% through intersection (she had no stop sign) when she was hit from the left by driver who had either not stopped at his stop sign or simply didn't see her.

You think this will be totaled? I'm guessing yes?
2008 Accord 188k in good to very good overall condition.

2 weeks ago we lost the spare set of keys ...so maybe it was meant to be 🤣

Totaled yes however you could buy it back from the insurance company, Take it to a frame shop and have them install a cheap aftermarket fender, bumper cover, headlight and whatever it needs and drive it. I cant tell if it needs a battery, radiator or radiator support. If the airbag popped that's more money too but the car would be considered an easy fix. Sometimes you are better off washing it out and getting another one. Prices are really high now but the insurance might pay you well. It's probably not worth it to repair with such high miles. Its good your wife was not injured. Did the airbags blow?

How did the Jeep wind up so much more wrecked than the honda?

That bent tie rod to me says it's done. Put it on a container vessel to a 3rd world country and let them figure it out.

Yes, but the 188K will hurt-which is a shame, looks like a nice, well maintained BITOGermobile!
I know right... I had just spent an entire day washing, clay bar and waxing it🤦‍♀️

It definitely has higher miles but we regularly drive it 11 hrs from IL to NY with no problem.

I didn't see any coolant/radiator drips but there there was power steering fluid dripping from right fender area.(opposite the crash side?)

Radiator supports were bent where they attach to bumper.
Pretty much the entire front end was shifted to the right 1-2 inches. And backwards a half an inch.

Air bags did not deploy.

I guess you have to go by how much money to repair the car versus how much money the insurance will buy it out for. What do you think the insurance payout should be? I would think you could repair the car with a $750.00 frame shop bill. You can buy a painted bumper cover and a painted fender on ebay and they are cheap. I guess the bottom line is how much is the car worth to you. It's an easy fix IMO but I know people who can do the job and not everyone has good contacts that they can trust. The frame shop would be the highest cost part and after that its $150.00 here and $100.00 there etc.

On the plus side they did give a me a pretty cool Taco for a rental, only 8k miles.

I never liked the Taco, it’s a raised car with an open trunk imo, the seats are literally closer to the floor than my Subarus. A truck is not supposed to stretch your legs straight out in front of you. The high entry and low seating position is a conundrum and would prevent me from buying one.

Sorry to hear about the Accord, those older ones won C&D Top 10 over 20 years in a row IIRC… glad your wife is ok
