*You go to Walmart for:
a) 4 gal of distilled water, in preparation for another cooling system drain/flush/refill coming soon, and
b) 2 qts of SuperTech 10w30(to make 4 qts) in prep for the next Auto-RX clean cycle.
Now, this alone might not qualify one as a true BITOGer- but read on:

*While going in, you see a fresh clean *empty* capped 1-gal Shell Rotella jug laying in the parking lot, & think, "That would make a good container for used motor oil."

*When you come out with your 4 gal of distilled water & 2 qts of SuperTech 10w30, the Rotella jug is still there- and you add it to your cart!

(Only to help out whoever has to pick up trash in the parking lot, you understand.

)

*When you place the empty Rotella jug in your car, you think, "Hey, I can probably drain an ounce or so out of this for the lawn mower!"

I wasn't always like this, what happened to me...

Yeah, I've gone dumpster diving plenty of times as a younger man for used oil containers.

So, here's my contribution:

A dedicated BITOGER scrounges the ground junk at the boneyard for bits and pieces to use to funnel, catch, distill, remainder, . . and knows that the yard won't charge him if he buys, say, an old $3 car antenna to cover it all.

Jaycee, OK, you can have the jug back, as long as you don't mind getting a gallon of used oil with it. Say in about 3 weeks.

And: did you know you left a good solid 2 1/2 oz of oil in that jug? Raised the lawn mower bottle from 14 oz to 16.5 oz!

*You see a post for a cheap Walmart price near you.
You plan a trip to Walmart to see if it's also priced the same near you.You srtike out and PM the other BITOGer to get the exact location.
*You go to parts chains looking for bargains and buy more uneeded oil on sale to cash in on rebates posted here before the deadline.
* Mow the lawn and then argue with yourself not to change the oil and leave the ARX in the mower a little longer.

How bout, when taking a 30 or 40 mile in town trip you stop at every different auto part store to check out the specials, AND stop at every family dollar, dollar tree, dollar store etc. to see what type oil they have and how much it is.

I just did this last week. Took me 1 1/2 hours to get where I was supposed to be going.
