Small RV Tailer Questions?

I had a van-based RV, 1991, 30 years old when I had it.

The instruction manual said the stuff was designed for use two weeks a year, and not permanently living in it. Doing so would cause "accellerated wear."

RV stuff is cheezy and MacGyvered together. Fun if you like to tinker, probably annoying if you just want to relax.

There is a video on you tube about the LittleBuddy heater and it didn't budge the needle on his CO tester. I have had one of those now for many years.

My experience with ours, is that all the water in the combustion gas will soak everything if you use it in an enclosed space for long. We use ours in the folding canvas ice fishing hut, but if you completely close it up, the humidity goes to 100% quickly, and it starts dripping off the ceiling inside... Maybe keep one kicking around for an emergency, but getting a down sleeping bag good for -30C would be better for the trailer.

I'm looking to get an A-liner pop up camper. Pretty sure I'm going to find a used one that I like. From what I've read they're very high quality. Have you check them out and is that a design that would work for your application?
The trailer OP is talking about is available to him he's not shopping.

5 hours of towing a week is less than a day of towing while traveling. Being out on the roads in the winter in Erie won't be kind to it. I'd get it someplace warm, clean everything underneath and liberally spray it all with one of the undercoating products.

RVs including travel trailers need constant attention or they will shake themselves apart, it's just how it is. We bought our Grand Design trailer lightly used and I had to go through the process noted above finding the things that were done wrong when it was built and fixing them.

Hint: To charge the battery fully every day use a battery charger at home not the onboard inverter, they're known to charge at low rates and take forever.

Interesting use case, hope it works out how you want. Buy it cheap so you can sell it if doesn't work for you.
