You can have your solar and ranch too!

In the present market, electricity is worth more during the day. It would not make sense for a solar farm to store it to sell at night for a lower price.
Snow removal can be handled by unskilled laborers that do other ranch work during the summer.
 
Then the solar panels workers will complain about walking through the cow pies to get to the panels.

The cows were there first.
 
Interesting idea that many of us have bounced around for years. It will be interesting to see how well it works out and what the difficulties are. I suspect it will be very labor intensive.

There are folks doing this in Vermont. But they are really hobby farms, and I don't know what the outcome is.
 
Brush growth is noticeable around rows of panels at Dominion Energy solar farms. They all have fences, and I thought of each solar farm keeping goats to control the brush. Really.
 
Around my area the cattle now coexist with wind power as well - just like they have with oil & gas for much longer …
 
Some people just don't like others using common sense solutions to get more profit out of their property.

Question I have is are taxpayers paying for that profit to those other people ?
