Changed the factory Goodyear Wrangler HP (hich wore out at 26K miles) to Yoko Geolander AT on the AWD Honda. The Geolanders have very good reviews and are also low cost too. Chose this tire also due to good off road and snow traction. I was concerned the agressive tread of the AT would be noisy. They are much quieter than the GY. Impressive. These GY have a very bad reputation for wearing fast and being noisy.

I had the Wrangler HP tires on my Liberty and they were awful. [censored] I would go as far as saying they were dangerous, especially on wet pavement!

You did good by good by changing to the Yokos.

My SIL just put on a set(4) of Yoko Geolanders, 225-70-16 for her '01 Lexus RX-300 AWD and she loves them. I've never heard her rave about anything automotive. She was using Continental SUV tires which were quite nice if I do say so myself as I have the exact same year/vehicle/AWD. Her highest comments consist of how quiet the GEOLANDERS are and how well the absorb impacts ruts on the highway. I never thought that the Continentals that she had were loud but, they may have gotten loud prior to replacing them and this is the reason for her comments. I'd have to compare them for myself as we have Good/Year Assurance Comfort Treads on my wifes '01 RX-300 and we love'm!

What AWD Honda do you have? Our friends have an 07 Pilot and have Kumho Solus KR-21 in 235-70-16. Not for offroading but great in the snow, good ride/handling combo and quiet.

Recently put on a set of Yoko Geo H/T-S's (G-051) also well rated, less agressive highway tread, on a Tacoma. So far very satisfied, quiet, smooth and an good value too. Other close choice was the General Grabber HTS, which now have a $100 rebate at DT/DTD on set of 4, with that they would likely have been the choice.

You know what they say, goodyear = good for a year

I just bought some Yoko Avid Envigor's for my Subie, I've always had great luck with Yokohama tires.

Last year I replaced the General AmeriTracs that came on my wifes F-150 with Geolandars. The truck was a whole new animal. With the Generals the back tires would break loose with even the slowest acceleration in wet weather, now its a task to spin them when trying. The truck feels better controlled and rides better. They have been roatated a handful of times and appear to be wearing well.

I have a set of the Geolandar ATS's on my f150 and love them. They are much quieter that the Goodyear Workhorses that they replaced. The difference in winter traction is amazing too. I live in ND and do a lot of hunting in the winter and I can normally drive around in 2wd and not have any problems.

Just like any tire company goodyear have good and bad tire

top of the trash list has to be those and goodyear RTS

OEM QUALITY!!!! <----lol

Different strokes. I want my Goodyears to wear out at about 40k, cause the warranty is 6/80k. I keep up with my rotations/warranty and, viola! I get a new set of rubber for 1/2 price + $60 to mount the new set about every 4 years. I love the smell of new tires in the morning.

+1

Got those yok's on my Tacoma...have to say they're a lot better then the original Yok A/T's.

However, I also have a set of Goodyear's new Duratrac A/T's - FANTASTIC tire, if I must say so.

I've had GY's BAD tires in the past too; i..e wrangler RT/S! These new Duratrac's are miles ahead of those [censored] things.
