Thanks everyone... I'll probably stick with what I always have used anyways - 5w30. I don't need to go any higher, no reason to. As far as the filter goes, I basically always run the Motorcraft filter, so by habit I'll keep using it. Unless that is, my curiosity gets the best of me and I 'try out' the RP filter... but I'm really not too worried about that. The modulars are strong engines and even though the bypass is located best in the MC, I don't think it's a big deal in an engine that doesn't run long oci's. I tend to change between 3 and 5k.
