The Focus was very short lived for us. It was a good little car -- just too little for family of 4. I found a killer deal on a new MKZ AWD loaded with everything possible, and traded last Friday. It has Ultimate, Technology, Navigation, Sport Packages to name a few. Price was $13K off sticker. THXII sounds great for OEM system. I changed the oil this weekend, because it was on their lot for over 1 year. It had 700 miles on. I put MC 5w20 in + P1 filter. Change was very easy. I found it odd that the Duratec 3.5 only takes 5.5 qts, but D30 takes 6? It has free maintenance for 1 year, so I will get a couple of OCIs, tire rotations, cabin filters, etc. from the dealer. Here's some pics from dealer's website. I don't have any personal pics yet, because it's too cold, snowy, dirty here.

The car is very smooth and powerful compared to the Focus.

I think the MKZ is upscale/based from the Fusion.

Looks like a really nice car and big jump from the Focus. Its probably more polished than a Fusion which is a pretty good car itself, plus it has unique styling. If you got it discounted it would definetly be worth it over a Fusion.

That's got some pretty snazzy styling.

I predict it'll be more timeless than many competitors.

Dig it dude! I'm a big Lincoln fan myself, not that you could tell by the cars in my signature!

That MKZ looks great, and I'm glad you got such a great deal! Hope I can find a similar score when I look to replace my LS in the next 12-16 months.

Nice nice! I wanna trade my Focus off too! The Focus is so boring to drive. I bet that Lincoln feels like a space rocketship compared to the Fockus...

Alas I won't be trading...almost paid for and too good of MPG...so I'm stuck with a mediocre economical boring piecer...fantastic life I'm leading here...

Bravo kkreit! Nice Car!

Looks nice! I can understand the family of 4 thing. We may have to do something with the Escape after this next one gets here. The Festiva seems to work fine around town with 3.. keeps the wife from buying to much! But the Escape was awfully cramped on the last trip to St. Louis, it's the long trip ride. My dad came back with us and it was tight!

Thanks everyone. This car is like a dream to drive compared to the Focus. The Focus was severely underpowered with the whole family aboard. It wasn't bad when I was alone. The kid's legs were always hitting the backs of the seats in the Focus (and we're all small). I drive them to school everyday (13 mi.), and their backpacks had to reside in the trunk of the Focus. My MPG of course are taking a hit (8-9 worse), but it's well worth it having AWD, and power to spare. The 3.5 has very nice sound compared to the 3.0 (I've driven both). The MKZ still has Ambient Lighting, so the kiddos are happy too

The features I really like are BLIS (blind spot mirrors), rear back-up camera, THXII sound, and of course AWD.

The interior is nice. Where you see aluminum trim, it's real -- not painted plastic. Leather on door panels, arm rest, etc. It may not sound like much to many, but somewhat upscale from what I'm used to.

Holy payment increase Batman!!! Do people who saw you drive your Focus around ask if you won the lotto or something? LOL

^ Yes -- payment increase -- but well worth it. No one I know really knows yet. I work in a very large complex, and none of my co-workers know about the new ride.

If gas goes to $4-5 a gal the Focus will look pretty good compared to a Lincoln.

Very good choice - you'll feel and look different from the masses driving Camrys and Accords.
It's an upscale Fusion, and I like the Fusion itself, esp. the Sport version.
