X-Trail Question?

Last week I totaled my 03 Altima, hit from behind with about a 50 mph impact or 80Km/h. The 5 star safety features enabled my wife and I to walk away, police stated the car's designed saved our lives. Great to be alive, thank God.

Looking at the X-Trail, going to see one tommorrow, Sat. Nissan has had this X-Trail going in Europe for 4 years now, 2 years in Canada, I hear it is not available in America. It has the QR25DE,the cat converter issues fixed, it has the AWD system found in Murano and Q series in Infinity. I am looking at the XE AWD. 35 miles to gallon.

Anyone own or know of anyone owning one of these SUVs and if it is a positive experince or know of any problems on it?

interesting Moribundman, it shows 03 X-Trail test, anyway of getting more recent testing? Nissan says 5 star, but that is "Nissan says" I will print that X-Trail page off and take to dealer to see what he says. I would have liked to see what that site had to say about the 03 Altima we totaled, and info on the 05 Altima because we have not ruled that out yet either, no Altima test offered on this site.

I don't know about the '05 model. Hopefully they made some improvements.
