WVC1 codes

Hello
First time posting in the computer section for me. I have windows media palyer, real player and quick time installed on my PC. While trying to play MPEG-4 files a message indicates I am missing WVC1 codec. So I google it, and come up with a codec download. Download and un the program. PC played the file!!! yippeee. Go to play the file the next day and message reappears missing WVC1 codec? The file will not play. Any ideas on my missing codec?

Go with the free GOM player, haven't found anything it won't play. GOM player will automatically find and install any codecs should there be a need.

What program played the file? Try reinstalling or updating all the players.
