Prestone used to make a great product for guys who run out of gas *I can make the next exit no problem} called rescue.I cant find it anywhere. Is white gas*lantern fuel}roughly the same thing.Or does anyone know of a safe transportable storable in the trunk fuel? Thanks.

No, its more like kerosene than gasoline.

Just carry a can of gasoline in the trunk. Or, if you don't want the gasoline odor, use butanol.

You can, but the octane number is real low and I would't use it except for emergencies.

There are better cleaners than this stuff.

LOL! lantern gas (naphtha) has an octane rating of roughly 50~60 RON. Try that in your engine and it will kill it within a couple of miles (EFI).

Besides, in terms of volatility, they are just as bad as gasoline so why not carry a small jerry can if you want to have some emergency fuel?
