+3 I have been very busy and I have not posted for ten days or so. My father served in the Army in WWII. My uncle served in the Navy in WWII. I have a cousin who was in the Marines in Vietnam. And my oldest sister served 20 years in the Army. These people, all of the people who served their country, deserve respect.
Even a socialist should be able to understand what would have happened if soldiers had not fought the Nazis in WWII. And in wars that were unpopular, like Vietnam, the soldiers did their jobs. If you did not believe in the war, blame the politicians.
Some people here are openly displaying disrespect towards the people who have served their country. They can. It is free speech. But they can live with themselves and I do not respect them.
Some people say we should have a 'pit' here with no moderator intervention and everybody allowed to say what they want to say. I expect to be attacked by the 'flash mob' for the comments I have made here. So where is my free speech if I do get attacked? Or maybe they will attack me at their hate site. At their hate site where they can stereotype people, attack people personally, and publish all kinds of nonsense about people who they do not like and whose views they do not like, and hide behind 'anonymous.'
