Would a clogged PCV valve cause oil consumption?

When it’s in what position?

I have a 2013 crv burns oil. I removed the pcv to replace with an Amazon aftermarket chinese unit…. I notice several things..
1. Honda oem has spring tension that holds the plunger closed in it’s neutral state.
While chinese unit the plunger moves freely back and forth about 1/8th inch internally before contacting it’s spring. This concerns me because Honda must have done that for a reason..

2. Honda oem (cleaned) flows air fine, but doesn’t entirely seal reverse flow(hiss).
Chinese unit flows are fine and any suction to the reverse side seals completely with no hiss.

The Honda unit I’d have to wait a few days for… but I’m inclined to just put it back in.

I can’t seem to find answers to this online.

Anyone?
Definitely check the pcv and make sure it helps but you may have stuck rings if not. I'd do a piston soak with Berryman's B12 Chemtool and then run Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30.
