WOT on Pentastar

I know I should not have done it from dead stop. 45 mph to 70 mph with fully warmed up Jeep is a better way. They say it is good for the health of the Pentastar so I do it once in a while

The little guy is pretty zippy thanks to 4.88

NICE! The 2 door is quick with that engine! Look up @OIL_UDDER 's posts on the Pentastar. He was on the gen 1 design team and said it loves to be run hard and it is good for it. He said it splashes fresh oil into the valve stems, which can dry out if you "drive like a granny" all the time.

I've got the 6 speed with 4.56 gears and 35's and it's quick. I can't resist driving it hard and going through the gears. My Gladiator with the auto and 4.10 gears and 35's is just as quick. In fact, acceleration is identical. That 3.6 auto hits the sweet spot for acceleration with that Jeep.

I read somewhere that the 2 door sport with the base gears and stock rims/tires hit something like 6.3 seconds 0-60, making it the quickest stock Jeep prior to the 392 and 4xE. I'm not sure of the numbers on the 4xE, but I've heard it is quick with the combined power of the gas engine and electric power at the same time.

Btw, there is a nice kick in the pants, I think at 3500 or 4500 with the Pentastar when on the pipe on the way to red line. It's noticeable with both the manual and the auto. I'm guessing the VVT is going to its 2nd stage right there.
