Yeah, and that Accord, or either my '99 or my '12 would eat your BMW 318i, or mine, for breakfast and spit out the seeds.
Almost any stock Accord is faster on any track than any stock 318i, although probably not as much fun to drive.

My sentiments exactly. If possible once you get the blend in your car could you pm me with any changes in running condition,acoustics,how it revs etc. I want to use the same blend 50/50 in my mustang this year,so any info I can glean from your experience would go far in my quest for the ultimate high VI oil.

Will do, i will be changing my oil in a month and ill give you an update on the fill. Ill post a used oil analysis of the Pennzoil Ultra as well.

Well, a 318 is more in the same segment as the Civic, wouldn't you think? An Accord would be more aimed at the 5-series demographic would be my guess. And yeah, there are base-model 5'ers, but there's also a base-model Accord

Neither BMW is or was aimed at the same demographic as were and are the Hondas.
The BMWs were and are aimed more at people who appreciate their unique charms and are willing to pay for them.
The Hondas are entertaining to drive and can be driven quite briskly, but they aren't anything like a RWD BMW, even a low-cal one like a 318i.
I can tell you that after a season of driving my 318i, the Accords feel almost like appliances, albeit pretty fast appliances.
But you already knew this.

A top model mid-2000 Accord (like mine) would eat a base model BMW no prob. The Accord V6 6-speed is rated at a 0-60 in 5.9s with non-sporty Primacy tires. However when you pit a top model 3-series vs a top model Accord, BMW all the way.

In terms of size, the 318i is the same as the Accord. But they are two completely different cars. The 5-series is more of an Acura TL size.

Road racing or drag racing?

Drag is pretty simple.

RR really shows what your car is made of, and I apologize in advance but I know from personal experience that an Accord, especially a V6 Accord, is severely lacking in the braking department. I won't even begin to talk about the weight distribution, etc.

Note that this all comes from actual road racing experience in my 98 Neon R/T, and that WOULD eat an Accord for lunch!

Drag racing the Accord wins... Stock vs Stock on a road course... Its a toss up. A base model BMW is better setup, however the Accord V6 makes a good bit more power. Really depends on the track. Speaking of Neons...

Iceman intake, TTi longtube, Crower Stg 2 cams and valve springs, INDY intake manifold, AFX Race PCM (8100rpm limiter). Mopar linear springs.
