Worst paint job ever diy

A light grey primer is all but mandated, no?
Pal's black Crown Vic roof and hood took a beating.
I suggested hand working to smooth ...decide finish later.

Idk I'm not a professional so don't listen to me. I'm still learning too. But I think I would've used a couple coats of a sandable primer, sanded it obviously, then a primer sealer, then 2-3x more base coat than was used here, you can see the lines pretty clearly, didn't overlap nearly enough. Then lots of clear coat.

Definitely could've been sanded, maybe couldve used a primer sealer, definitely could've used another couple coats of black. Can still go back and retouch it though if they wanted, take off the clear with acetone and sand away any gloss. Not trying to knock the guy or anything. Just trying to give constructive criticism without sounding like a **** lol
