I would like to sit and have coffee with him just to hear his stories. He was born around 1915, which was when WW 1 was raging. Can you imagine what he's seen?

Same! The best assignment a teacher ever gave me was to talk with someone born before 1925 (this was around 1990) we had a list of questions we had to ask and then we had to make up some questions. I took the easy road and interviewed my grandpa. Learned a few things about his childhood.
My father in law is 90 and in spectacular shape. He used to be a bodybuilder and eats right. A year and a half ago, my mother in law passed. He immediately admitted he should stop driving. He started losing his vision but since he was caring for his wife, he held on probably longer than he should have. I rode with him and he actually did alright. His vision is definitely worse now than at the time of her passing. Good thing he owned up to it.
