World Cup USA '94 will always be the most special of all to me. ❤️❤️❤️

Confirmed, ten minutes longer. This is very weird. Fifteen minutes is the regulated time for the break for a reason - with ten extra minutes players get more recovery time and are more rested which completely breaks the equation for how they play in the second half.

Absolutely no penalty and the Spanish goal was valid. 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸 (the first extra time)

Interesting, the referee never bothered to look at the VAR?!? Taking down a goal at a world cup final and never bothered to look at the VAR—fishy at its best. ☝️😐

Half time show worse than Super Bowl.

How is that possible?

Soccer may need to get a bit Americanized in order to become more popular at this side of the Ocean. Personally, I don't mind it.

Diego Maradona had said back in 2018, something like:
"Americans want to host a world cup again but want 4 half times by 25 min., instead of 2 by 45."

So, we literally witnessed it at this world cup and it wasn't a big deal. I'm sure it was No-No in 2018 and any time before and after until this summer.

It is a big deal. Extra physical recovery time changes everything. Soccer has already caved in with mandatory hydration breaks which are nothing more than legalized advertisement breaks. This is already effectively splitting the half in two, so we get four quarters of 22.5 minutes instead of 45 minutes of grueling exhaustion.

This is like putting mandatory hydration breaks on a marathon.
