Have any of you guys ever heard of this? This is the first I've heard of it, and I've never seen it personally.

With the right conditions you can get 'frost flowers'.

Heard about these last year while visiting friends in the Ozarks. The locals were pretty enamored with them.

I kept trying to tell them that we get frost on plants all the time here in Colorado and it was no big thing. Then... they showed me a pic of what they were talking about. Oh yeah, that's something completely different and beautiful.

I've only ever noticed frost flowers on ice, or snow over a spring. I'll have to look more closely down at the spring and pond sometime.
