I've seen them on TV before. They were on #16 at that time. My problem with what they do is 2 fold. They "assign" one of the older kids to basically raise one of the younger ones. There are too many kids for them to properly parent. And, there are enough people in the world. There is absolutely NO reason to have so many kids, which will probably go on to have more large families....

If they love children so much and it's God's will, why not adopt 20 kids? That would be much more moral and Godly.
One reason they live debt free (claim to at least...) is they get a lot of money from the publicity. Oh, according to wikipedia, Jim Bob also attended a financial freedom seminar...ya know, the no money down real estate scam?

Well, I guess if they're going to go forth and multiply, they're doing it in a favorable manner. A family that large will have some unique internal dynamics (aka: the creep factor). I've met about 2 families that were like The Walton's. Most were the same sibling love:loath relationships that i never got the privilege to observe from the inside. Most people have children in "a process". For some of our not so enlightened working class it's: Carnal knowledge, driver's license, steady squeeze, high school diploma, job, marriage, kids, and (probably 50:50) divorce, child support ..repeat steps 6 through 8.
For the more enlightened: Carnal knowledge, driver's license, HS diploma, college, get snagged (or snag) in either an Mrs. or Mr. degree program, start career, buy house, squeeze out pups, serve them for the next 20-25 years.
In either ..be happy or not depending on your earnest participation and integrated capabilities (harmony).
Now there are some influences that detach earnest desire and capabilities. Prohibition of contraception places the onus upon someone controlling their passions (and usually failing in spite of it) ...so it can get as complicated with all the elements needed to have a favorable outcome of such a fundamental access/choke point in the whole mix. That is, just because you're spiritually obedient in this aspect ..doesn't mean that you'll be a good parent. Go until the wife's organs give out and deal with the results
but on that "go forth and multiply" thing. How do we know that it wasn't intended as an educational suggestion?? Some would surely have been wise to pick up an abacus.

Third, if people can not even maintain thier vehicles with appropriate fluid intervals (at the very least) how can you trust them to bring life into this world. If people ignores a simple oil change, or safety critical brake pads ... what does that say about thier self responsibility, or willingness to get a simple vaccine for a child. The way people take care of thier cars speaks volumes.
What this person is doing is criminal and she should pay me for being rational enough not to breed like a rabbit. I keep my genetic nukes safed & garrissoned at all times thanks you very much. Popping out puppies like this is disgusting and waters down humanity and genetic diversity.
