Well, I've been running different synthetics of different weights in my 08 wrangler since new to see what would get rid of or reduce my lifter tick (chrysler wouldn't do anything about it) and until now, Pennzoil Ultra 5w-20 was the only one that almost eliminated it. It took care of it until I was close to the end of my OCI, then I started hearing the tick again. I had decided to switch to conventional and see how that worked. I was running Havoline 5w-20 for about 900miles when I realized I left a breather hose off, allowing the engine to ingest unfiltered air, so I immediatly changed oil and tryed Wolf's Head 5w-20. Well, so far so good, I've got 400miles on this oil so far and no noise at all. I'm pretty pleased with this stuff. I also have no lifter noise at start up in the morning from the lifter s bleeding down like I did with alot of the other oils I've tryed.
