WM Roll Back Synthetics Pricing

My local Walmarts rotate the big OEM D1/Gen 2 synthetic oils at $22.68 for 5 qrts . while regular prices are up to $25 to $28 now .
Half way into an OCI I just watch for WM roll back prices and see what synthetic oil I want to try next for my Sonata 2.4L GDI - yesterday it was Valvoline Advanced D1 / Gen 2 5W30.
*Have to note though that the Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5W30 / 5W20 sure looks like the best buy at $19 every day price ... My old Elantra and Sedona will be switched to Quaker State Ultimate Durability next oil change .

The Valvoline Advanced has a lot of good things going for it. My engines sound a bit quieter on it (5w30).

I will carbon-fight using Pennzoil Platinum. SOPUS claims Platinum and Ultra Platinum are it's two best carbon fighters.

BTW..... I returned my QS Ultimate Durability to Walmart last week. I am now "in this - to win this".....lol

My Walmart still has "normal" $22.68 Pennzoil, but all of the Castrol offerings have jumped up. All black jugs are $27.47, and the gold jugs are nearly $31. This is at the same time they are clearancing Valvoline Modern Engine at $34.74 so they obviously aren't yet willing to concede that nobody in my area is going to pay $6+/qt when buying jugs.

One disturbing local trend is that all of the 50wts (Castrol GTX 20W50, Mobil 1 15W50, etc) and all of the 10W30, 10W40s are completely gone. The only 5W40s left are RT6 and Castrol black jug; this Walmart no longer carries HDEO in ANYTHING other than 15W40 with the exception of RT6 and Delo LE. Heck, they have about 120 jugs of Rotella T4 15W40 across 3 different endcaps! No more 10W30s... 53' Stude will be heartbroken

The walmart by me no longer has gas engine 0w40s and only one gas 5w40. They phased out a lot of products to make room for all of the diesel oils.
