I was searching filters with M22x1.5 and came across this one, so I ordered it out of curiosity. My first impression was It’s very heavy duty, but then I noticed the center tube… I want to cut it open for science, but I was going to use it on our 2011 Navigator as a FE2 substitute for an OCI first before doing that, now I’m not sure.

Looks like it has a stand pipe in the center tube, which is use to help prevent the filter from draining out through the center tube.
