Wix and Napa question

All depends on your OCI & cleanliness of your engine. A $3.99 AC Delco or Purolator Premium-Plus is fine for my 6K OCIs. Want to go 10K OCI.... then change the AC or Puro-Plus halfway at 5K. Personally speaking, I only use the more restrictive filters like Mobil-1, Purolator Pure Ones & Napa Golds around every 25K (every 4th OC) to catch the finer particles, carbons, varnish... etc. So as you can see... I'm more into flow than filtration.

I could understand why you would do this if you didn't change the oil - only the oil filters. Is there enough old oil left in the engine after an oil change to cause a concern?
