WIX 57502 cut open

[53' Stude]

Off of a part time co worker of mine 2017 GMC YUKON with v-8. I put Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w20 and this filter on and in back around late May. Oil and filter only had 4,779 miles on them. Put another WIX 57502 I had in stash and some Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0w20 he supplied

It's up to you. I like WIX and ULTRA so whichever you can get cheaper IMO

Quality oil and filter and everything looks good. Unless the vehicle is short tripped a lot, I would let it go 7 - 8,000 miles next time.

I guess either one is just fine, honestly.

I do believe the Wix/Napa 57502/7502 is just a "touch" longer.

The 7502 is the spec'd filter for Fords, while the 100255 is the spec'd filter for GM, both Napa filters with a 22 psi bypass. They are identical in length, id and od except the 7502 is a tad bit shorter at 4.09 inches long, while the 100255 is 4.77 inches long. I have used the spec'd 100255 and also the 7502 on my buddies 3.6 GM engine with no problems. When you cross the ACdelco PF63 to a Wix filter, you get the 100255, and crossing the MC FL500S you get the 7502. When crossing either OEM filter to a Baldwin, you get the B7449, which has a 20 psi bypass. So in my opinion, either Napa filter can be used on a ford or gm vehicle with absolutely no worries.
