Wix 51372 cut open 2k miles

Wix 51372 cut open Ford 4.6 2000 miles. Miles SB 10w30 was used. Had to change the starter motor and I hate jacking the car up so I just changed it while it was in the air. Filter looked great, was on for 9 months and there were a lot of cold starts on this OCI. Replaced with same filter.

Yeah looks good. I run the 57899 and I think it’s basically the same filter but with a lower bypass setting. Thanks for the c&p.

It looks excellent. Even though it uses a dome bypass, I'm going to call it an OG Wix with coil compression spring. Some Wix/Napa Gold applications have (for whatever reason) always used dome bypass. Ford applications like topic 820S equivalent is one such example.

I wish I could find a filter of this quality, in this size, with the threaded end bypass. I’m not talking about a combo valve either.

Yes, same oil back in. I've since bought more of it.
