2004 Acura MDX wiring repair - need advice

Howdy folks,

Quick back story, I have a 2004 Acura MDX touring with a code PO113 (Intake Air Temperature Sensor) Opened the hood and inspect the sensor and wiring and notice the wiring is cut. My question is I need advice on how to repair the wire, I have a few pics of the cut wire...Thanksm

If there's enough wire left, soldering & heat shrink tubing has always worked for me.

I would just solder the wires back together with some shrink tubing over the joint(s).

Yes, I have to cut a few inches into the wiring loom to grab more wire

I bought this waterproof, solderless kit off Amazon ($11.38 for 200 pieces). Have yet to try it, but it only requires a heat gun, not a soldering pencil/gun.
