Wire fence problem and possible solution

I had about 300' of 5' high woven no-climb fence attached to 2" steel pipe pounded into the ground. Looked good until my Mastiff checked out the fence. He dug a little and pushed the bottom of the fence until he broke the wire and made enough room to escape. The fence was the heaviest gauge wire at TSC that was 5' high.

My proposed resolution is to run 3/16" wire rope along the bottom and use heavy duty wire ties to tie the fence to the wire rope.

But I need to get the wire rope tite. So I plan to wrap the wire rope around each pipe and use a turnbuckle to tighten it. And spiral clamps on the pipe to prevent the wire rope from creeping up the pole.

I am trying to figure out if I can tighten the entire 300' with a single turnbuckle even as its wrapped around each pole.

Maybe some lubricant on the wire rope where it is looped around each pipe.

Easier to run a electric fence wire around the bottom with insulators and flag the wire and get a low voltage fence shocker. 300 foot is a stretch unless you tighten between posts then use a u-bolt to clamp and hold on each post. Less likely to have issues with temps changing the tension that way too. 20 foot between posts will probably be about right.

The U-bolts might be a better solution than looping the wire rope around each pole. I can also get a long spool of wire rope which I was not going to get if I looped around each pole.

No way will a turnbuckle tighten 300ft of wire if it's wrapped around each post. How about securing the wire only on the very ends and threading it through eyebolts on the posts in the middle. That way you can tighten it easily on one end and it can shift as temp changes. Make sure to reinforce the posts on each end.

I had a boxer that would dig under a fence. I put in a solar electric fence. Run a strand around the inside of the fence near the bottom.

I have a Vise-Grip with chain welded to it to pull on the wire rope.
