Wiper Blades

I have not tried the Rain-X blades. I'd recommend one of the "structureless" blade models. I currently have a set of Bosch Icons on my car. The Bosch ones are on the pricey side, but they work very well. This newer design contacts the glass with the same contact pressure from one end of the blade to the other, without the development of "pressure point streaks" you sometimes get from older style blades that have a "skeleton" pushing down on them. this is a small picture, but should help visualize this if you haven't seen them before:

EDIT: Whoops, sorry, we're having technical difficulties. For now, just google "Bosch Icon blades" and you'll be able to see them in a couple seconds.

I actually like the Triple Edge wipers at WalMart. The Silicone constrution is the only thing that holds up here. Most ordinary wipers fall apart in 6 months due to the heat/UV, used or not. The Triple Edges have been on my cars a good 2 years or so now.

Go get the Michelin blades at Walmart..good and cheap

We were quite disappointed with the Michelin blades at Wally's, streaky and noisy, and only lasted 6 months and started to tear.

We have had much better luck with the Trico blades at AAP.

I actually don't like Bosch blades. They get chattery to easily and then the wear out really quickly.

My favorite are Trico from Schuck's (even those aren't cheap!) But they fit my Volvo and Ody like new.

I like the Trico Teflon ones. The ones on my Jeep now have been there for almost 2 years I think, and they still work pretty good. No chatter, no streaking. But I'm sure I'll buy some new ones soon anyway.

I have purchased them all. The pricier ones seem to last a bit longer.

I simply replace them before fall and spring with the cheapest at Walmart. Great vision during poor conditions is priceless. Lastly I live in New England which is hard on wipers.

Sell and use Anco. 20 years and no problems. Ocasional set that come back streaking or noisy, we replace N/C and turn in as defect. Never had refusal or been questioned.

I bought a set of the Michelin "Bosch Icon" knockoffs and promptly brought them back after one storm event...awful noisy and streaked like crazy. For a few bucks more I'll re-invest in the Icons

Pablo,

IIRC we paid less than $20 including tax, for both fronts and the rear for my GF's Mariner. I too once bought the Bosch, and had a similar experience. Took them back and got a refund. I have over one year on my Honda OEM replacement for $6 from HandA.

I had bad luck with the Michelins. They left a small streak in the middle of each blade no matter how I'd adjust them. Returned them and got Rain-X on both of my cars and they're working great!
