Windshield trim pulling away

So the windshield trim seems to be pulling away. Not sure why. Windshield never replaced. 2021 Crosstrek.

Plan is to wait until a few hot dry days to dry it out, then vacuum and leaves or seed pod strings and push it back by hand.

I assume this is only cosmetic, Not associated with the sealing of the windshield against a leak.

that seems to happen on many older cars..like you said, not related to water sealing, just the plastic cowl cover pulling back (shrinking?) a bit
 
Yeah just try cleaning it up and putting it back together. If some of the connections aren't sticking lay a drop of strong plastic glue on them to hold.
 
Looks warped, likely can only be replaced unless you can heat and reshape which is likely a 50/50 bet.
 
The Crosstrek has had zero issues. Gas, oil and tires. Has not been back to the dealer for anything. Goes to my local Indy mechanic for a once over once a year. He has not found anything.

Brakes will need to be replaced at some point in the next 5K to 10K
