Windows 11 issue with keyboard

I switched primarily to Linux and Mac OS over the past year and am happy I did. Microsoft is perfecting the art of treating customers like chattel.
Fedora 43 is really good. Mint seems decent so far but I don’t really get the hoopla about it. Xubuntu and Kubuntu have been good too. About to try Bazzite on an HTPC.

I see you are not interested right now, but this outfit built me a real nice custom-built gaming PC 3-4 years back. A fella got on the phone with me and went down the list of options and explained each option as we went along. This option may cost a little more, but to me it was worth it. I am sure you can go to Best Buy or somewhere and get a new pre-built one cheaper. I did that first, which is the exact reason I found this AVA outfit. I sold the Best Buy PC; it was less than a year old. I am just letting you know, that's all.

If you need help with a Linux installation let me know. I think Make Use Of (MUO) just had an article about top Linux distributions. Can you go to Logitech's website to see if they have.any specific updates?
I've seen this happen when a couple of USB transivers are plugged into front panel USB ports next to each other. Moving one to the back normally resolved the issue. Also, check in device manager whether USB ports are allowed to cut power off as power saving feature.
The receiver is in the back of the tower. I will check the device manager if I have problems again, I didn't do that.
Here's an update FWIW I don't want to do a victory lap yet, but putting it through the paces I am having zero issues with the keyboard. It screwed up faster with the last install.
I installed Win 11 using the Media Creation Tool, I was unable to download the ISO file. I was getting an error message telling me I couldn't download it, I don't recall the exact text of the message. Later on I was able to download the ISO file, I used Rufus to make a bootable USB stick and did another clean install. I read that people had problems with the Media Creation Tool so that motivated me to try the ISO file instead. Everything worked fine. I cloned the HDD in the event of problems with the next phase, which was an afterthought. Call me crazy- I reinstalled the OS again adding a .XML file blocking the bloatware etc, and then did some tweaks hoping to prevent Windows from reinstalling the bloatware. I have done this in the past for a few friends and family and had good luck with it. Hopefully it will work again, it did quite a bit of updating and the bloatware is still out. The .XML had a space for my Win 10 Pro license so I didn't have to sign into my MSFT account. I do enjoy working on things like this.
I had great success on a few and all of them very wonky W11 comps doing another install on top of existing one from ISO mounted as a drive. Apps and files can be retained and it sure beats full fresh install.
Update: The computer is working perfectly, with no bloatware being reinstalled. I might give it another try on an old laptop with a new XML file and leave out "Clock" and "Outlook." I'd love to leave "Edge" out but read that there could be problems with it updating if "Edge" is left out of the installation.
Getting rid of Edge and with it web view2 is the best thing I have done, those two pieces of crap are extreme resource hogs running all the time in the background.
Are you having any issues with updating the system? I might give it a shot checking the box on the XML file to leave it out of the installation, and then make sure it doesn't reinstall it.

on a 15 year old laptop and it works fine including youtube upto 1080p.
Whats keeping windows on your old machine?
I prefer windows 11 on my main rig mostly for Gaming support.
or I'd ditch it there too.
downloaded the iso, balenaEtcher > to usb stick.
15-20min later im all done and browsing.
Might have been 10min if my usb stick wasnt a 16GB samsung from 2011.
I had a spare Intel 512GB ssd so I just swapped out the samsung 830 120GB that was in there with w7.. incase I ever want to use it as a diagnostics computer again (for old registers etc)
on a 15 year old laptop and it works fine including youtube upto 1080p.

I use a program that will not run on Linux, only Mac and Windows. There are no Linux workarounds for this program. Everything is running fine now so I will keep Linux on one PC and an old laptop, and Win 11 on my Dell tower until it will no longer work for me. When that happens I'll think about what the next step will be.
No updating issues whatsoever. Microsoft is one of the worlds biggest scumbag companies and always was, check this out..
How do I remove Edge from Windows 11 EU?
Open the Settings app, select Apps, and then click Installed Apps at the top of the right panel. Remove Microsoft Edge. Scroll down and select Microsoft Edge (Windows 10) or click the three dots on Microsoft Edge (Windows 11), click Uninstall, and follow the on-screen instructions to remove Edge from your PC.
Thanks! I might give that a try if the current install becomes problematic. It's still working fine, I removed Edge, and it is still updating w/o issue. FTR I'm not a fan of Windows or MSFT either.
