Will miss you David Bowie

A great interview and tribute to Bowie from one of my rock heroes, Rick Wakeman. Wakeman, then pretty much unknown outside of England, was the original pianist on 'Life on Mars.' It was recorded before his first work with Yes was released. Bowie had a way of getting nothing but the best talent, often before they became famous in their own right. And the fact that Wakeman can still rip that piano part out without more than a day's time to review and practice it just blows my mind.

Wow, thanks for posting that!

I have so many favorite Bowie songs; Life on Mars, Starman, Ziggy Stardust, Suffragette City, and some others.

I saw him in '96 at Roseland Ballroom in NYC and it was such a great show. Gail Ann Dorsey (in the live Changes clip at the begginning of this thread) was on bass guitarist tar and she was awesome performing with Bowie. I don't think I've ever seen a show with such a diverse audience.
