They don't though. It is the angle of the photo. Look at the rods in contrast to the size of the pistons.
 
If there forged and NOT powdered metal i might be more inclined to like them more. but that goofy angled cap setup still puts me off.

and the dual cooling system thing just sounds like more to F up.

So apparently the off-set rod bolts are not a new thing for Ford anyways.
 
Interesting i never seen the inside of the baby Cummins. never knew they had a goofy rod setup.

The unfortunate thing is i been a ford man for most of my adult life. every vehicle i have bought that was newer than 1972 has been a ford. Unfortunately since 2003 i wouldn't buy another new ford diesel to save my life.

It was a sad day when i realized that i would have to buy an dodge if i was getting a new truck.

Knock on wood and thank a higher power my psd 7.3's keep on chugging along.

Yea, I dislike that.

I wish I could get a late 90's or early 00' DT466E In my Ford!!! But It looks like the new 6.7L engine will be good!
