Why does Fram have less media?

Really, so are you implying that Wix/Napa Gold media is somehow inferior? Perhaps if it ain't broken no need to fix it. I didn't realize you were also clairvoyant and know what Wix will be using or doing in the future.

I stayed out of this thread with no intention of commenting here. Figured the detection software would bring you in sooner or later with the subject title. However, when you start badmouthing another brand that's another story. Imo, you should stick to Fram filters and leave other manufacturer's filters out of it.

My comments about Wix having less media were related strictly to what I saw cutting one open, the ST4386. The long coil spring and big combo valve on that one does use up a lot of real estate. So they save money on media. What else does less media save? That's just observation, that's all I was saying, no brand bashing intended. So I started the argument. Not pleased with Fram reps response though. Wasn't good advertising for sure. I take the rest of my stash of Fram back to WM for store credit. Last time it was quite a bit, got groceries with the Fram return money. No more Fram product for me, it is like touching the plague now.

Absolutely Wix uses an inferior media which is shown in every manner (efficiency, capacity, etc). Care to post up filter to filter (same tier) efficiency and capacity numbers to actually refute what Jay said instead of continuing to troll post against him (every single time for that matter) with thinly veiled anti-Fram propaganda?

Fram Tough Guard is 99%, Wix/Napa Gold are 95%

How would anyone expect Motorking to respond.

He is in a thread that implies that the product he engineers is inferior to his competitors, but he's no allowed to draw comparisons to the very competitors his product is being compared to?

If someone made a thread titled "BMW is larger than Mercedes", would you seriously not expect a Mercedes rep to compare the sizes of both cars?

His response was appropriate, accurate, and pretty much unavoidable given the context of this thread. He didn't come here to trash on Wix. Somebody started a thread that casted shade on his product, sucking him into a comparison.

Yet we have another poster so sensitive he is returning his Frams. And there was NOTHING in Jay's response that was in any way rude to him. As you say, just some helpful facts to better our understanding.

Apparently the other poster returned Frams to Walmart before for some reason. Something fishy going on in this thread with this anti FRAM sentiment.

Realizing now how boring the last 8 years was, finding this quite exciting. Maybe today its a deal for more Fram Ultra pleats. Or later today a deal with walmart to keep Pennzoil Ultra on the shelfs. Yay.
 
Some people are either just unable to control themselves, or they think that their opinions are so important that everyone must be informed of them.

Likewise, I doubt anyone cares. How about just sticking to the topic at hand rather than feeling the need to inform us of your political views?
