I have heard Husqvarna pronounced many ways but this Huska-murna is beyond me.

I have heard this many times but heard it over the weekend. I get why people call autozone vatozone, but have no idea the "murna" other than Myrna Loy.......

Here are the top 3 I hear.
Hoosk Varna
Husk Varna
Huska Varna

The third version is how I say it, but I know its wrong. Never heard the Murna version though.

I've heard of that too. I have no clue why people put and A between husk and varna. I don't see an A in between there.

The same reason one member says and types “warsh” as “wash” I guess.
Was going to post this very thing. Regional dialects can do funny things. [I used to live where it was common to drop r's so I guess it's only fair that another region snaps 'em up and inserts in back into words, not letting anything go to waste.]

Because the spelling doesn't look like "hoosk-varna" to American English speakers when they read it. I like Huska-varna even though I know it's incorrect, it's commonly used.
How about pronouncing Stihl as still?
Why don't Americans pronounce Hyundai correctly. Hint: it isn't pronounced Hun-day in Korea. Hun-day isn't celebrated in Rome either.

I know it isn't spelled like it, but I've always pronounced it husk-a-var-na

There's a YouTube channel where the woman pronounces it "hoosk-varna" and I can't wrap my head around it :ROFLMAO:

But, being in rural PA we pronounce things all wrong so you can't go by my word...

My wife's uncle used to pronounce Mitsubishi as Mit zu Bit zu so there's no accounting for people's wacky pronunciations.

I suppose we should pronounce names as they would be pronounced in the country of origin.

The internet provides pronunciation advice for many languages. You choose the language (Swedish to English, German to English, etc), enter the text, and click the "speaker like thing" on the foreign language side. You might be interested in how Tag Heuer or BMW would be pronounced in Germany.
